Aerial performances are the ultimate for dramatic impact and never fail to impress.  Highly skilled and daring, aerial artists have the ability to thrill and captivate audiences with beautiful movements performed high above the ground.

Performances can be indoors, either at Circomedia if using our venue or at other venues depending on suitability or outdoors – we have a number of options for outdoor rigging. 

There are various different types of performance available depending on the equipment used.  All acts are performed to music and are very exciting and provide real wow factor: 

Trapeze
This can be solo or doubles and involves the artiste(s) performing various moves and manoeuvres on the trapeze bar, under it and in the ropes above it.

Aerial hoop
The artist performs a routine suspended in a steel hoop using this to create shapes and as a frame to hang from and perform in and around.

Silks/tissue  
This is two very long lengths of fabric made famous by the old BBC ident featuring three performers on red silks who wrap them around themselves before dropping and unrolling in the air.  Of all the pieces of aerial equipment silks acts tend to be softer and more romantic although still with nailbiting drops and dynamic moves.

Corde lisse/rope
This is similar to a silks performance but with the artiste using a single rope to climb, hang from, wrap around, drop and unwind from.
