Frequently asked questions
How do I book onto a class?
Create an on-line account by clicking on ‘My Account’ in the top right hand corner of this page, and then book on-line by clicking on the class you want to book. We can take bookings over the phone but will charge a booking fee for this, plus we’d really rather you book on-line to save on admin. We don’t charge a booking fee here, but optional donations to support our charitable work are most welcome.
How much are your classes?
Our classes average at £6.50 per hour, usually with 8 – 10 people in a class. Higher capacity classes follow a slightly cheaper pricing structure (drop-in classes, dance & family workshops).
Can I join a block of classes late or just attend certain dates within a block?
All evening and Sunday classes are booked in blocks of 3, 4 or 5 weekly classes. We will occasionally let students join a block late if space is available but cannot accept students who only want to pay for certain dates they can attend.
Are these classes suitable for under-18s?
These are all adult classes, excluding the family half days. We do sometimes run one-off or holiday sessions for under 18s, and also a regular after school youth circus programme - see our ‘children and families’ section. We sometimes accept over 16s for our adult class programme – please call to check suitability.
Do you run classes in any other circus skills?
We do sometimes schedule one-off master classes, short blocks or intensives in other disciplines, which can be found in our master class section. Alternatively you could schedule a private 1:1 (or 1:2) class in any discipline with one of our tutors for £40 an hour. If you would like to arrange a private group booking please call the office for more information on options and pricing.
What if I’ve missed a class, want to cancel my booking or cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances?
No refunds for missed classes but you are fine to continue your block of classes. See our cancellation policy here:
How can I find out about new classes?
Join our mailing list:
AERIAL HALF DAY
Why are the aerial half days more expensive?
Half day aerial classes have a higher pricing bracket as they are irregular, unlike blocks of classes that follow a loyalty pricing structure.
Why are flying trapeze sessions more expensive?
Flying trapeze classes require three tutors and time to set up the rig therefore the running costs are higher.
Can I book a block of flying trapeze classes?
No, these are booked on a week by week basis, but you can book multiple sessions in one go. Our drop-in sessions and half day classes are also individual sessions.
What happens at a drop-in class?
Drop-in classes are essentially supervised training sessions, where students can practice any discipline with some guidance from the tutor. You can just turn up to these classes and pay on the night, or pre-book via the website. These classes tend to be a lot busier than a structured class. New comers are prioritised in terms of supervision. Check the website regularly for cancellations as this can be short notice.
No refunds for missed classes.
Please read our cancellation policy before booking.
