City Circus

Based in Circomedia’s new centre in St. Paul’s church, Portland Square ‘City Circus’ is an exciting programme of circus skills classes for 6-18 year olds.

Children and young people get the chance to try out stilts, juggling, trapeze, walking globe, acrobatics and lots, lots more. There is also the opportunity to join a performing group.

Summer Intensives

Two new dates to put in your diary.  Each 'intensive' session lasts three hours, and includes warm up games, conditioning, a chance to try or develop skills in trapeze, juggling, and acrobatics.  For all levels.  There will be a café selling drinks, crisps etc at break time.

Saturday 24th April
10.00am - 1.00pm primary school age (from 6 years up)
2.00pm - 5.00pm secondary school age (up to 18)

Saturday 19th June
10.00am - 1.00pm primary school age (from 6 years up)
2.00pm - 5.00pm secondary school age (up to 18)

Cost - £20.00/£16.00 unwaged


A special session with the famous Circomedia flying trapeze.  Places are limited, book early to ensure your place.

Saturday 29th May
10.00am - 1.00pm for flying trapeze, secondary age only

Summer Holiday School

A holiday scheme with a difference.  Participants, whether beginners or advanced, will be able to learn and develop skills in juggling, aerial, acrobatics and balancing, using professional standard equipment and resources in our St Paul's Church centre.  There will also be games and a range of physical activity including warm up and conditioning to keep fit and active! Participants will work towards a performance which will be shown to family and friends on the Thursday afternoon of each week.

Secondary School Age:   Mon 26th July - Thur 29th July, 10.30am - 3.30pm
Primary School Age:   Mon 2nd August - Thur 5th August, 10.30am - 3.30pm

Cost: £130.00 - Early Bird booking £120.00 if booked by April 30th 2010.  Places are limited

Autumn Programme

Weekly classes will restart on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th September, 2010.   More details available soon.

Family Workshop

These sessions provide an opportunity for adults and children to share the experience of learning circus skills together.  It's very relaxed and is an ideal way for children of all ages to have fun with their parents.

Skills taught include juggling, tightwire and static trapeze in a safe and fun environment.

The cost for adults is £10 and children are £5 - children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.

The next session is Sunday 21 March 10.30am - 12.30pm.
