Professional Dance Masterclass ACE Dance and Music

A unique dance workshop aimed at professional dancers wanting to broaden their skills and experience of contemporary dance and performance.

Linked to the ACE Dance and Music performance of 'ICE' held at Circomedia on 10th and 11th November, this workshop will be delivered by Gail Parmel (ACE Artistic Director), who after being nominated as one of the Cultural Leadership programme's 50 Women to Watch in 2010/11, has now been voted one of 20 Inspirational Women from the African Diaspora in Europe (ADIPWE): in celebration of the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day.

The workshop will demonstrate how ACE uses traditional afro-caribbean dance and how they have creatively developed a fusion with ballet and contemporary dance forms. Participants will focus on movement, performance and the links between emotion and dance presentation so prevalent in ACE's work.
