A brand new class for 2020, Flex & Stretch is a ground-based skills class aimed at improving your flexibility and mobility.
You’ll work through a series of exercises with your tutor each week to loosen up your joints and muscles and get you warmed up. Then, the tutor will show you how to stretch particular parts of your body and build resilience with specific exercises.
Unlike generic flexibility classes, Flex & Stretch focuses on specific exercises that can help you with aerial and ground-based circus skills. For example, you might not normally consider your wrists and forearms, but these areas are crucial for many acrobatic and aerial disciplines! Over the course of a block you’ll work on your whole body and learn how to safely push yourself that little bit harder.
You don’t need any previous experience for this class, and you don’t even have to do another circus skills class – it’s a great full body class for anybody.
