Alumni Double Bill – The Cycle & The Beauty of Being Herd

Friday 4 October, 7:30pm

Join us for a double bill of exceptional circus as two of our talented alumni take to our stage with their latest professional shows!

The Cycle by Liz Fairnell

A new piece of writing that highlights the struggles and joys of working in the care sector using lived experience and testimony from real care workers.

Using text, physical theatre, circus and music to explore the issues and varieties of emotions that are provoked when working in healthcare, it tells real stories of care, connections, loss and joy, giving voice and dignity to the stories of care-givers and care receivers.

‘A glorious balance and mix of storytelling… very powerful and moving’ audience member

‘the text delivered is beautifully authentic’ audience member

BSL: Following a successful fundraising campaign, Liz’s show will be BSL Interpreted throughout by Lynne Bateman.

The Beauty of Being Herd by Ruth Berkoff

Have you ever felt like you don’t fit in?

After years of trying her best, Hannah is waving goodbye to life as she knows it to live instead as a sheep.

The Beauty of Being Herd is Ruth Berkoff’s debut show – a hilarious, bonkers, heartbreaking tale with original songs, clowning and possibly a rave.

This is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
