Three performers from Nepal ask questions about life, love, poverty and greed. Using spoken word, movement, circus and ceremony, they tell the story of how against all odds they survived their childhood and created their own destiny. A strong and heart-warming performance about rescued child slaves from Indian traditional circus.

This performance is inspired by the lives and destiny of our performers Renu and Aman experiences as child circus slaves in India. It also highlights the story of other Nepalese children being trafficked into slavery in Indian traditional circus. From 2002, when this was discovered, over 700 children have been discovered and rescued or released.

Produced through an International partnership between artistic directors from nofitstate ( Wales) and Cirkus Xanti (Norway) and working with ex members of Circus Kathmandu, As a Tiger in the Jungle will be a unique theatrical circus experience!

Post show talk on 17th April.
