Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re new to Youth Circus or returning after a break, you might find it useful to have a look at some of our Frequently Asked Questions below to find out what to expect.

What to wear?

Comfortable clothing that is easy to move in – normal sports clothing is fine. To avoid friction burns we suggest long sleeves and leggings if possible – or layers if you’re not sure! It is not appropriate for children to come in school uniform (school PE kit is fine). Wear trainers or plimsolls, although some activities are easier barefoot.

What should we bring?

Bring water and any medication/other equipment that your child might need such as an inhaler.

What happens on the first day?

When you arrive you’ll meet the Youth Circus tutors who will check you in and welcome you to class.

Can I stay and watch?

At all our locations we don’t allow parents/carers into the main space to watch the class. On occasion we host ‘Bring your adult to class day’ where adults can come into class to watch. We will inform parents/carers via email, in advance of ‘Bring your adult to class day’.

Is there anywhere to wait?

Portland Square: you’re welcome to wait in the undergallery (remember to sign in and out).

Kingswood: there are picnic tables and grassy areas outside, but no indoor waiting space.

Frome: there is limited outdoor waiting spaces and no indoor waiting space.

Where can I park?

Portland Square: metered parking 24/7. Some adjacent roads are free after 5pm but can be busy.

Kingswood: plenty of free onsite parking.

Frome: small free onsite parking, additional nearby free street parking.
