Youth Circus General Information
Our Youth Circus classes are designed for children aged 5-18yrs and open to all levels. It’s a fantastic way for young people to learn amazing circus skills, make new friends, and build confidence.
Led by our specialist circus instructors, young people will learn a wide range of circus skills including acrobatics & tumbling, aerial arts like trapeze & aerial silks, coordination and balance with acts like stilt and wire walking, and of course, nearly every juggling prop imaginable.
Our weekly classes run in age groups throughout term-time and take place across two sites in Bristol: Portland Square & Kingswood, and Avanti Park in Frome.
Youth Circus Term Dates 2026 – 2027

Spring Term 2027: Mon 4th Jan – Fri 26th Mar 2027* (11 weeks)
Half-Term: Mon 15th Feb – 19th Feb 2027
Summer Term 2027: Mon 12th Apr – Fri 16th Jul 2027 (13 weeks)

Youth Circus Class Days & Times
Our classes run Mon – Fri and are divided into three age groups, all taking place at the same time each day. (apart from our Frome classes which have a slightly different schedule)
Macaws (Mon), Tawny-Owls (Tue), Wrens (Wed): 5-7yrs: 4.15pm – 5.15pm
Magpies (Mon), Tuis (Tue), Wagtails (Wed): 8-11yrs: 5.15pm – 6.45pm
Mynahs(Mon), Toucans (Tue), Waxwings (Wed): 11-18yrs: 6.45pm – 8.15pm
Kiwis (Thu), Fantails (Fri): 5-7yrs: 4.15pm – 5.15pm
Kingfishers (Thu), Finches (Fri): 8-11yrs: 5.15pm – 6.45pm
Kestrels (Thu), Falcons (Fri): 11-18yrs: 6.45pm – 8.15pm
Ravens: 5-7yrs: 4pm – 5pm
Robins: 8-11yrs: 5pm – 6pm
Beginner Mixed Aerial: 10-18yrs: 6pm – 7.30pm
Improver Mixed Aerial: 10-18yrs: 7pm – 8.30pm
Pricing
All customers joining or returning to Youth Circus will pay for classes via monthly Direct Debit installments through Go Cardless. When you enrol, you will be set up on a subscription that secures your place for the full or remaining year. Our classes are set at different prices according to each age group.
We offer a 10% sibling discount, as well as concession rates for families in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income Support, Housing Benefit, or Universal Credit.
How we work out your Direct Debit plan:
We times the number of weeks by the the price of the class, e.g:
37 (weeks in the year) x £10 (price of class) = £370
We then divide that by which Direct Debit plan you’re on, e.g:
£370/£10 = £37 (10-month plan)

Returning Students
All current students will need to re-enrol to secure their place for September 2026. You will need to complete our enrolment form here.
If you have not paid via Direct Debit before, you will need to create an account here.
Once this is completed, we will set up payment for Youth Circus on our end.

Bursaries
To apply for a bursary for Youth Circus 26/27 please complete this form.
Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, only successful applicants will be notified.
Bursary availability is subject to funding.
