BTEC Open Day

Performing Arts (Circus)

Date: Saturday 5th December 2026

Location: St Paul’s Church, Portland Square, Bristol, UK, BS2 8SJ

Who is it for?
Our Open Days are aimed at 14–18 year olds who are curious about an alternative pathway to A Levels and want hands-on training in circus, movement and physical theatre.

What happens at an Open Day?

We will welcome you to our Portland Square venue, the home of our BTEC students, and show you where training happens every day.

During the Open Day, you’ll:

  • Jump into a practical workshop and try out the kinds of skills our students develop every week

  • Meet the teaching team and ask your questions about training, workload, and progression

  • Explore the space where creativity, technique, and hard work collide

  • Get clear guidance on the course, application process, and what to expect next

How do I book on?

As this event can get very busy, please email admissions@circomedia.com to book your place. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your spot is secured. Please don’t arrive without booking, thank you!

When you email, please include:

  • Your name

  • Your phone number (for any last-minute updates)

  • Whether you’re bringing a plus one, and their name

  • Any accessibility or additional requirements

Additional Information

Please come in comfortable clothes you can move in, plus layers to keep warm when you’re not active.

There isn’t a formal lunch break, but feel free to bring snacks and a water bottle to keep your energy up. The venue is also just a short walk from central Bristol if you want to explore afterwards.

Portland Square is easily accessible by public transport, it’s just a 15-minute walk from both Bristol Bus Station and Temple Meads railway station.

If you’re travelling by car, pay-and-display parking is available directly in Portland Square. On Saturdays, you can often find free parking in the residential streets just behind Circomedia St Paul’s Church.

We look forward to welcoming you!
