BTEC How to Apply
Applications for our BTEC 2022/23 course are now open. Anyone with an interest in joining the country’s only two-year BTEC course in circus and theatre this September should apply by 10 am Friday 5th August 2022.
It is important to note that this course is fully funded by the government for learners under the age of 19 years. If you are aged 16 – 18 then don’t miss the opportunity to take advantage of our fully-funded BTEC course. To apply for our BTEC Course please complete these three things.
a) Complete an Application Form found below.
b) Send us a video of a short performance/movement piece of your choice, lasting a maximum of three minutes. You should concentrate on what you’re good at. Creativity and the ability to perform are as important as technical skills. And please have fun with it!
You may be lucky enough to have a performance or video that was not necessarily for your audition that you can send.
We can accept YouTube, Flickr and other website links provided the quality is of a decent standard.
c) Complete the attached written task. You could print off the sheet, handwrite your answer, take a photo on your phone, and email it to us, or type it. Please aim for at least 200 words.
Once we have received your application form and audition video, we will invite you to an interview by email. We will be asking you these questions, so please have a look and think about your answers.

What qualities do you think are important to do this course?
What would you like to do after the course?
What do you think you will find difficult on this course?
What is the last performance you saw or thing you read that inspired you?
Applications will be reviewed by the Course Leader. We will contact you by email no later than one week after your application to confirm we have received your submission. If you do not hear back within that time, please contact us. You will receive an email letting you know the date and time of your interview.
