Support Circomedia

Through your donation, you can help us develop key projects that encourage access to the arts for marginalised communities, young people and local residents. You can find our donation link at the top of your screen. All donations are truly appreciated.

Disability and inclusion

Here at Circomedia, we aim to provide integrated opportunities for disabled people through our recreational and formal courses, and our participatory programme. When you support us, you’re helping us to reduce the barriers that might prevent disabled people from engaging with the arts.

Can circus be used as an educational tool? Can it improve our wellbeing? We think so. When you support us today, you can help us work with disabled children and their families, using circus skills to encourage interaction and creativity.

Schools partnership and programming

Your donations can support our work with local schools as we do everything we can to make circus and physical theatre accessible to everyone with our Schools Partnership Programme. This innovative scheme aims to offer young people a range of access to circus through events tailored to key stage curriculum and delivered in partnership with targeted local schools. These will include themed workshops, educational visits, tickets to performances and progression pathways beyond.

With your support, the Schools Partnership programme will target schools within the geographical wards of Ashley, Easton and Kingswood. Our Onwards & Upwards scheme will give young people the opportunity to experience life as a Circomedia student through school visits, taster days led by our FE/HE tutors, and exposure to current students and spaces. You’ll also be supporting our recently devised Open Up Young Reviewers programme, where young people in our partner schools can attend and critique our student and professional shows and build their skills in creative interpretation.

Youth circus

You can support the next generation of circus and physical theatre performers – helping to buy new equipment and cover touring costs for the 400 young people in Bristol who join our weekly classes every year. Your gifts will also help us offer subsidised places for children in low-income families, ensuring that the chance to learn circus is accessible to every child.

Artist support

At Circomedia, we don’t stop supporting our students after they graduate. You can help us provide mentorship programmes, artist residencies and subsidised membership that will help our recent graduates develop as artists and inspire a new generation of students and performers.
